Preserve & Protect
Preserve and Protect DuPage Forests for future generations.
Think in generations.
Protect natural resources and leave DuPage’s forest preserves stronger for future generations.
Selectively purchase land that aligns with the forest preserve purpose.
Use the best scientific practices to preserve and restore land we already own
Establish plans for conservation and restoration in all our preserves

Ensure every taxpayer dollar is spent responsibly and transparently.
Fiscal discipline means managing projects properly and ensuring taxpayers get value for their money.
Stop the spending spree. The District has increased the budget by 70% in 7 years.
Stop the over-the-top spending. No more $750,000 unheated bathrooms that are the size of a two-car garage and closed for six months.
Projects that are on budget and on time. The no-bid guaranteed $25.5 million contract for Willowbrook ended up costing $30 million. Scheduled to open in May 2024, it opened 20 months later in January 2026.
Reduce debt. Lowering District debt will lower property taxes.
Access to preserves, educational and recreational facilities for everyone.
All DuPage residents should benefit.
Connect people with nature through safe access, education, and recreation throughout the county.
Provide safe access to preserves promoted for recreation. Example: parking at Poss Lake for fishing.
Provide creative “Pop-up Preserves” to bring District education and recreation to communities that have none.
Explore a zipline and high ropes course in Big Woods Forest Preserve.

Help Build a Better Future for DuPage.
